Step 1
Start from one target step
Open the building reference, select a building and choose the exact upgrade you are considering. The resource figures belong to that one step. They do not include earlier levels, unfinished prerequisites, your current balance, discounts or optional instant-completion spending. Keep the in-game upgrade panel as the final authority for your account.
Step 2
Follow the named prerequisite chain
Each requirement in the reference opens the corresponding building and rank. For Chief’s Hall Level 5, inspect Walls Level 4 and Infirmary Level 4 as well as your existing hall. For Chief’s Hall Level 10, the recorded chain includes Walls Level 9 and Academy Level 9. This is more useful than assuming that the same secondary building is required at every hall level.
Step 3
Do not double-count completed work
Make a short list of the prerequisites that are still missing on your own account. A building already at the required level does not need its earlier costs added again. This reference does not read your city or automatically total the entire dependency tree; compare its requirements with the game before calculating the resources you still need.
Step 4
Keep ordinary and Dragon Crystal progression separate
The Chief’s Hall reference contains ordinary levels 1 through 25, followed by Dragon Crystal tiers with five stages each. Later stored steps are not ordinary levels 26 through 50. Choose the displayed tier and stage explicitly; required buildings may also refer to a particular Dragon Crystal stage. Do not substitute a similarly numbered ordinary level.
Step 5
Distinguish city buildings, villages and decorations
A village structure or decoration does not automatically have the same placement, unlock or upgrade rules as a city building. Some names have no verified construction or upgrade table in this reference. They stay marked as reference-only rather than being called free or available. Tribe and campaign structures follow their own activity rules.
Step 6
Make the plan useful before you spend
Write down the target, missing prerequisites and shortages. Check current queues and chapter or event conditions, then complete the next necessary step. The reference deliberately avoids an exact completion-time forecast until your own bonuses and live conditions are known. Share a link to the precise building step when asking a teammate for help.
