Start with the listed troop and specialty tags, then read the skill triggers below. A gathering condition, commander-position condition or status requirement changes when an effect applies. Compare a complete march rather than ranking the hero by one factor.
Choose a different second commander in the planner, keep both upgrade states explicit and inspect the bonus sources. Atlas does not simulate full combat damage or prove that a pairing is best for every account.

Hero background
That night, the raging sea rose with immense waves and swallowed the village. The villagers struggled to survive in the icy waters. Suddenly, with the cry of a newborn, the sea retreated, and the waters calmed. This was how Gunnar entered the world—amid the gratitude of thousands. From a young age, Gunnar displayed an uncanny ability to control the sea. Some claimed he was a descendant of the Sea God, but his mother firmly denied it. To quell the rumors, she took him far from the coastal town to a secluded forest deep in the mountains. There, she warned him to stay away from the sea and to never reveal his powers. But Gunnar was haunted by dreams of storms and crashing waves, leaving him sleepless and increasingly curious about his true nature. Finally, unable to resist the pull of the ocean, Gunnar bid farewell to the forest and journeyed toward the sea. As Gunnar stepped into the turbulent waters, a vicious shark attacked him. Riding the currents through the foaming waves, he plunged his harpoon into the shark’s belly. Its blood stained the sea crimson, but the scent attracted a frenzy of other sharks. Undeterred, Gunnar battled the relentless predators, his harpoon flashing as waves surged and storms roared. Lightning illuminated the chaos as thunder cracked overhead, turning the ocean into a scene of raw, untamed violence. After the battle, the sea turned a turbid red. As Gunnar stood in the center of the storm, he heard a voice, soft yet commanding—a whisper that seemed to come from Njord, the Sea God: "Go to the heart of the raging sea, challenge it, and claim your place as its ruler!"
