PC transfers, suspension & licence enforcement

Moving a legitimate activation, securing a lost PC and responding fairly to suspected misuse.

Published policiesVersion 1.2Prepared 28 September 2026

1. One active licensed installation

Each announced plan covers one licensed Windows installation. A licence key or account identifies an entitlement; an activation authorises a particular installation. These are different from a farm slot or an emulator instance.

At launch, you can transfer your active licence to a replacement PC by releasing the old device activation. Your valid subscription continues, without an automatic charge for another plan. PC transfer is not permission for two PCs to keep operating simultaneously.

2. PC transfer and lost-PC recovery at launch

At launch, you will be able to sign in, review your devices, stop new VRA work on the old PC, release its activation and activate your replacement. We will explain how the move affects local profiles and reports. Transferring a licence does not copy game data or credentials.

If your old PC is lost, broken or inaccessible, contact us to verify your account and reset that device activation. We request only proportionate account or order evidence, not game passwords or unnecessary identity documents. We will disclose any transfer limits, cooldown and exceptions before purchase.

3. Online checks and offline limits

Entitlement checks may use account, device, plan, expiry and activation information. Before activation opens, we will explain the data used for these checks, its retention and the service providers involved. Optional screenshot contribution is not a condition of licence validation.

An offline installation cannot receive an immediate remote revocation notice. Any permitted offline access expires after a defined period and is revalidated when connectivity returns. The standard seven-day trial ends at its stated expiry unless VRA confirms an extension under the trial policy; offline grace does not extend it. We will publish the refresh and grace limits before activation opens.

4. When VRA may restrict access

We may restrict or suspend access for a confirmed expired entitlement, material breach of the accepted licence, unauthorised key sharing or resale, deliberate circumvention of plan/device limits, fraud, a serious security risk or a binding legal requirement. An uncertain network response or a large personal fleet alone is not proof of abuse.

We apply the narrowest effective measure: declining the unauthorised operation, suspending the affected activation, or suspending the entitlement where necessary. Permanent revocation of a whole licence is distinct from a normal device transfer and requires a recorded justification. A legitimate refund request, complaint or criticism is not retaliation grounds.

5. Notice, review and remedies

Where safe and legally permitted, we explain the reason, affected access and how you can correct or challenge the decision. We give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach that can be corrected. We may act urgently for security or legal reasons, with an explanation afterwards where permitted.

You can request human review of disputed enforcement. We retain an audit trail and correct mistaken restrictions. Suspension does not automatically forfeit all prepaid fees or statutory remedies. We assess refund and access consequences proportionately and in accordance with applicable law.

6. Your data when access is restricted

We stop VRA inputs safely. We do not cancel game-server queues, delete emulator or game data, or remotely wipe your files. You retain necessary billing, support, privacy and available read-only/export access. We do not hold your records hostage to a disputed subscription.

These are launch commitments. The customer self-service and recovery features are not publicly available yet. An offline installation cannot be remotely revoked instantly.
